Training Before Customer Contact

No agent speaks to a real customer until they have passed the same journey every campaign runs through.

Training happens in a fixed order for a reason: context before systems, systems before scripts, scripts before practice, practice before real customers. Skipping ahead produces agents who can recite a script but cannot handle what happens when a customer goes off it.

The training journey

  1. Company introduction — what you do, who your customers are, what matters to them
  2. Product or service knowledge — tested, not just presented
  3. Policies — refund limits, discount authority, what may and may not be promised
  4. Systems — guided walkthroughs of your CRM, helpdesk and any other tools
  5. Scripts — the approved talking points, with the reasoning behind them
  6. Role play — practising the core flow with a trainer before it is graded
  7. Mock calls and chats — scored against the same criteria real conversations will be
  8. Escalation simulation — rehearsing the difficult cases, not just the easy ones
  9. Knowledge check — a genuine assessment, not a formality
  10. Launch approval — a specific decision that this agent is ready for this campaign

General Agent Skills

Communication, listening, professionalism and systems literacy are established before an agent is ever assigned to a specific campaign. This is the baseline every agent carries regardless of which business they end up supporting.

Client-Specific Training

Everything else — your product, your policies, your scripts, your systems, your escalation rules — is built fresh for your campaign from the material gathered during knowledge transfer. An agent moving from one campaign to another repeats this stage in full; nothing about your business is assumed to transfer.

The training checklist

What we track through this stage, in a document you can also use to sanity-check readiness before we tell you an agent is launch-ready.

How long does onboarding take?

It depends far more on your material than on us. A campaign with existing scripts, documented FAQs and ready system access moves quickly. A campaign where the knowledge lives in one person's head takes longer, because it has to be written down before it can be taught. We give you a realistic timeline in the proposal rather than an optimistic one.
